I highly recommend you check out Simon Sinek’s Ted talks.
I think whether people feel inspired to go to work and feel fulfilled at the end of the day about the work they do, is largely dependent on the kind of environment and culture the leader instills within the organization.
Many leaders fail to do this. That is why it’s hard for us to find those 8 points at our workplace. And that is why we’re all mad about quitting that shitty 9-5 grind.
Very true Jeremy. Really enjoy Sinek’s work. Much is dependant upon inspired leadership- this was definitely an employee-centric approach which needs to be tackled from multiple angles.
Hi Thai,
Meaningful work is so important to me. It’s what keeps me motivated and work doesn’t feel like work when you’re fully engaged.
I never understood why greedy bosses just want to work their staff as hard as possible for crap pay. Give them meaning, value, motivation, pay that will improve their lives.
Surely happy, valued workers do a better job?
I would be a great boss. I would aim to keep my staff happy so in return that feel that want to do a good job for me.
love the infografic

“Surely happy, valued workers do a better job?”
==> Indeed they do. Best part is that they work for you because they want to, not because they have to.

==> And I think I would be happy to work for you, Naomi. 😀
